Cardi B makes first public appearance since hospitalization

Cardi B is recovering.

The "I Like It" singer returned to the public eye on October 31 by attending a Halloween party in New York City, nearly two weeks after being hospitalized due to a medical issue.

Cardi, dressed as Jessica Rabbit from the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, attracted attention in a busty red gown, elbow-length purple gloves, and LabLove's sparkling diamond earrings. The Grammy winner finished off her hot look with a dramatic red lip, purple makeup, and thick ginger hair.

Her presence came after the "WAP" rapper said that she had to cancel her performance at ONE MusicFest in Atlanta due to a medical issue that had left her hospitalized.

"I am so sad to share this news," Cardi said in an Instagram message on Oct. 23, "but I've been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last few days and I won't be able to perform at ONE MusicFest."

While the 32-year-old—who is mother to Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and a 1-month-old whose name has yet to be revealed with estranged husband Offset—did not reveal any details about her illness, she did say, "It breaks my heart that I won't be able to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there."

Cardi continued, "Thank you for your understanding; I'll be back better and stronger soon." Do not worry. Love you all."

ONE MusicFest was there for Cardi even while she was in the ICU. Resharing Cardi's message on their own Instagram Page, the festival wished her well and added, "Let's all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery!"

Despite her medical conditions Cardi B has had a busy few months with her family. Cardi filed for divorce after seven years of marriage, little over a month before giving birth to her third kid with the Migos rapper in September.

She has stated that her future as a mother of three is only going to become better, despite the fact that the breakup has been very dramatic.

"With every ending comes a new beginning!" Cardi stated in her Instagram post on August 1. "I am so glad to have experienced this season with you; you have given me more love, more life, and most importantly, regenerated my strength! reminded me that I can have it all!"
