Kylie Jenner reflects on heartbreak after ex-best friend Jordyn Woods fallout: 'It was needed distance'
Kylie Jenner disclosed to ELLE in their November cover story that she maintained communication with her close pal Jordyn Woods throughout their 2019 split. Jenner admitted that the Khy founder took a break after Woods' Tristan Thompson kissing scandal, which had a negative impact on their relationship but was necessary.

"I was heartbroken," Jenner said after the incident. "We've always tried to talk things out, so it wasn't a complete cold turkey cutoff; it was necessary distance. Anytime something happened, good or horrible, and I needed to contact someone, it was always her. Losing that individual felt very lonely, but I had to go through it. I learnt a lot, gained independence, and took care of myself. We were so close that it helped me mature a little. I believe that in order for both of us to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do."
She now keeps her personal life more private. "I think it's important to keep things to yourself," Jenner said. "It's hard for me to make a decision by myself sometimes, so the opinion of the whole world…it can be tough."

During her Red Table Talk interview in March 2019, Woods said that she had been drunk at the time. "I don't think he's wrong either, because I allowed myself to be in this position," she added. "I wasn't sure how to feel. I was thinking, 'That didn't just happen,' and because I was already going, I went out right away. And I got in the car and said, 'No, that didn't happen,' and I told him I needed to go. "I was shocked."
Six months later, she told Cosmopolitan UK that she hoped the two friends would eventually reconnect. "I love her. "That's my homie," Woods explained. "I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier."
Time did heal. In July 2023, Jenner and Woods were seen eating dinner together. According to TMZ, the two ladies had been working on their relationship for "over a year" in secret.
